ALLAUDDIN'S BRIYANI
Yesterday was indeed a pleasant day with Muhyi darlz. As planned, we went to Cathay and bought our havaianas white slippers. We also caught up with a movie named "The Waterhorse" which has a beautiful storyline that even brought tears to our eyes. After the movie, I was hungry and I had to really really really eat Nasi Briyani at Allauddin's Briyani which is located at Tekka Market. Previously, I went there with my uncle and his family for lunch. Every grain of rice is coloured a beautiful yellow and so evenly infused with spices that you can savour its delightful fragrance.
The owner cooks it just moist enough to go with the superb dry sambal and the wonderfully tender mutton and chicken. The excellent South Indian-style briyani, which he has been cooking for 30 years, draws long queues every day.
The taste was so rich that I had to bring Muhyi to try the briyani there.
After a few handful of briyani, even Muhyi agreed that the briyani was delicious.
Even though, I'm not a briyani person, I can eat Allauddin's Briyani everyday till my heart can take it.
