I always get excited when I'm meeting my girlfriends. I have even lost count the number of shopping trips we had so far and how I have spent my money like water flowing from my shower! I have even decided to say NO to retail therapy for the next few months even though I know that this is so not going to happen. I should say that, we will never get tired of shopping and I always feel that I'm lacking of clothes everytime I shop. But I have my very good friend, Sally(hahaha..its Saliha) to rescue me out from there whenever I am tempted to spend.
As usual, me and my girlfriends planned to meet on a Thursday evening all just to get Farhanah's blouse exchanged at Arab Street since she was keep mourning that she already has the same colour top in her closet. So we followed her to get it exchanged to a peach pink colour.
Seriously speaking, I'm really trying to go on a diet and cut down on food containing carbohydrates which I believe is the soul cause for my weight gain. So particularly for that reason, I decided to eat something that is totally not RICE. And we were too lazy to travel anywhere far. With Sally's recommendation, we decided to go to ZAM ZAM restaurant which was just off the lane.
Believe it or not, the murtabak at ZAM ZAM is the best best best murtabak I have ever tried in my 22 years. I felt obliged to tell you about this because the restaurant is arguably Singapore's best value-for-money prata shop.
The moment I stepped into the restaurant, the man standing at the counter started asking for our order which was too abrupt as we still have not settled down. The 2-storey restaurant had already too many customers seated and placing their orders.
The first item we ordered was the Mutton Murtabak in medium size with teh tarik for me and Saliha and Root Beer for Farhanah. It was rather amusing when we were placing our orders as there was this guy working there keep teasing us in a way which seemed really funny and the tea was too nice that we had to order a second time and we had that same guy asking for our order again. He was teasing Saliha by pretending as if he couldn't hear her order and made her repeat her tea again and again. LOL. Saliha was kinda pissed and kept scolding him.The murtabak was very crispy outside and springy inside and it tasted way better without the curry. After finishing the murtabak, we were still hungry and ordered something that we would be able to finish. So we ordered Mutton Chop. It did tasted like how a good mutton chop should taste.
Unfortunately, ZAM ZAM is not open 24 hours. It closes at 10pm everyday.
And I'm just very glad that I'm meeting my gfs more often than I expected.
XOXOXO
