ALA-TURKA
ALA TURKA
This was the day when I went out with my BFFs to reminisce over my birthday dinner. We searched through the net for a nice Middle Eastern Food to feast on and I came across this restaurant. We feasted on Turkish cuisine and the food was so delicious and yummy. They had a very unique way of serving us food and the ambience was fantastic. The restaurant also has a heart-warming ambience of traditional Turkish tiles.
Firstly we ordered Spring rolls, as known as “Borek” for starters. But Turkish spring rolls were very different from what we see and eat in Singapore. These spring rolls were stuffed with cheese and they were very crispy and yummy.
And then for the main course we ordered, “Karisik Kebab” which has a combination of 3 different kebabs, which were mainly chicken and lamb. The dish was served in a very traditional style plate with rice in the middle and kebabs decorated in an appealing manner.
But unfortunately, the drinks that we ordered did not taste that nice. Saliha ordered Apple Tea wherea I ordered something hot which was the Traditional style coffee although I don’t drink coffee at all and Farhanah ordered this Mango juice but it was too thick and I couldn’t even drink it. And my coffee, I need to keep adding 3-4 sachets of sugar because it wasn’t sweet at all.
After our dinner, like you guys could have predicted, how can there be no camwhoring when I am around. HAHA, we camwhored everywhere in the restaurant.
Overall, I would rank the ALATURKA restaurant as A+. =)
